Regulatory Framework
Registration Obligations
The provision within the territory of the Italian Republic of services relating to the use of cryptocurrencies and the provision of custody services for private cryptographic keys is reserved exclusively for subjects registered in the specific register held by the Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM). Such registration constitutes an essential condition for the lawful provision of said services.
Functions of the Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM)
The OAM is the body responsible for managing the lists of agents in financial activity and credit brokers, as well as the register of virtual currency operators. The Body pursues the objectives of protecting transparency and legality, verifying the integrity and professionalism of its members, and supervising compliance with current regulations in their operations.
Communication and Transparency Obligations
In accordance with the regulatory framework outlined by the MEF (Ministry of Economy and Finance), Young Platform S.p.A. is required to periodically transmit (on a quarterly basis) to the OAM data relating to operations carried out within the national territory. This procedure responds to the monitoring and prevention requirements established by the legislator regarding anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism.
