Q: 2.3 Can I use the crypto-assets in my Moneyboxes for staking?

No. The amount for staking is taken only from your Young Wallet : if you want to use crypto-assets held in a Moneybox, you first need to move them to the Young Wallet and then stake them.

There is no mandatory minimum duration : a stake stays active until you decide to close it, and rewards accrue for the whole period. What you do need to consider are the technical times : activation takes one or more days, and closing can take from a few days up to around a month depending on the crypto-asset (see the next answer) — during these intervals the crypto-assets are not available for other operations.

No, duration doesn’t directly affect rewards. The return is determined by the APY, which depends on the protocol and is updated daily (see answer 1.3): for the same amount, a longer stake earns more rewards simply because it stays active longer — and because compound interest reinvests them — not because the rate rises over time.

3.3 Which fees apply to staking?

Opening a stake has no activation cost. On closing, staked crypto-assets carry a 15% withdrawal fee, with a minimum for each crypto-asset (for example 0.0002 ETH, 0.003 SOL, 0.15 TIA, 0.12 ATOM), as shown in the staking table on the Fees and Pricing page. 3.5 Do staking rewards need to be declared?

Accepted Answer

Yes: for those who are tax resident in Italy, staking rewards are taxable income — at the moment they are credited, their euro value must be declared, and that same value becomes the cost basis for future disposals.
