Buy Wall and Sell Wall
The terms buy wall and sell wall indicate the presence, in a market’s order book, of very large buy or sell orders concentrated at a given price level.
A buy wall can slow down the fall of the price towards that level, while a sell wall can hinder its rise. They represent supply and demand at a given moment; however, these orders can be modified or cancelled, and their presence does not guarantee future price behaviour.
