Cold Staking
Cold staking is a form of staking in which the locked crypto-assets remain in offline storage, for example, in a cold wallet, rather than in a wallet connected to the internet. The aim is to reduce exposure to cyber threats while still taking part in the validation of a Proof-of-Stake network.
Not all networks and wallets support this method, and the rules vary from protocol to protocol. As with any form of staking, rewards are not guaranteed; they vary depending on the protocol’s rules and network conditions.
