Stake

The stake is the set of all the coins or tokens that a person or entity stakes. It represents the weight of their staking power in the network. In blockchains that use a classic Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, the larger the size of the stake, the greater the probability of being chosen as a block validator and thus receiving block rewards. In some blockchains, this also affects the voting power in governance processes.
