What is Notcoin (NOT)

Notcoin is a crypto-asset with an ironic and playful spirit, launched in January 2024 as a GameFi project within the TON ecosystem, integrated into Telegram. Thanks to a “tap-to-earn” mechanic — points are accumulated by tapping the app’s screen — it reached tens of millions of participants within a few months, becoming one of the most cited cases of mass adoption via Telegram.

Note: Notcoin is not currently supported by Young Platform; this page is purely informational. Born as an in-game currency, it was later converted into the actual NOT token according to a predefined ratio.

How it works and the context

The idea behind Notcoin was to introduce millions of new users to the crypto world through a simple, fun experience, leveraging Telegram’s huge base. After the initial phase, the project tried to build an ecosystem around the token, but its nature remains mainly tied to the viral phenomenon that generated it.
