What is Quant (QNT)
Quant is one of the pioneering projects in tackling the problem of interoperability between different blockchains. It developed Overledger, an operating system that allows different applications and networks to communicate with each other. How it works: Overledger
Overledger works as a “bridge” between otherwise isolated blockchains, enabling value and information to be transmitted between incompatible networks. Developers building decentralised applications (dapps) on the platform need an annual licence, payable in QNT.
Use cases and token
Quant has gained attention in the institutional sphere, in particular in the development of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), collaborating with bodies such as the Bank of England. The QNT token has a limited maximum supply (about 14.6 million units). Among the founders is Gilbert Verdian..
