Cold Wallet
A cold wallet is a wallet that stores the private keys offline, without an internet connection. Typical examples are hardware wallets and paper wallets. Keeping the keys disconnected reduces exposure to online threats such as malware and cyberattacks.
It is contrasted with the hot wallet, which instead operates online and is more convenient for frequent operations. A cold wallet does not eliminate every risk: there remain, for example, risks of loss, device damage, or loss of the seed phrase.
