What is Render (RENDER)
Render Network is a blockchain-based solution that democratises access to the computing resources needed for graphics rendering and, increasingly, for artificial intelligence. Rendering is a very time- and hardware-intensive process: Render makes it more accessible through a decentralised network.
How it works: distributed GPUs
The network connects those who need computing power with those who own unused graphics cards (GPUs): the two sides of the market collaborate using RENDER as a means of exchange. The platform uses Solana as its main infrastructure.
The RENDER token and origins
RENDER is a utility token with a dual function: it is the means of payment for rendering and AI services and it contributes to the functioning of decentralised governance. The project was started in 2017 by Jules Urbach, CEO of OTOY, a company specialised in rendering and computer graphics.
What to consider
Like all crypto-assets, RENDER has had a highly volatile price trend, often linked to interest in the themes of AI and decentralised computing.
Past performance is not a guarantee of future results.
