AML
AML, which stands for Anti-Money Laundering, refers to the set of rules, controls and procedures designed to prevent and counter the laundering of money and the financing of illicit activities.
In the crypto-asset sector, service providers are required to apply AML obligations, including customer identification procedures (KYC) and the reporting of suspicious transactions. These obligations derive from European and national regulations on the matter.
