What is Polymath?
Polymath is a decentralised protocol for managing and creating security tokens on blockchain networks. The goal is to allow companies to tokenise their assets easily and quickly. To do this, however, the investor must have completed all the legal compliance checks involved in a delicate sector like that of security tokens.
Why follow Polymath?
The network’s cryptocurrency is POLY, listed on several centralised exchanges. It serves as a utility token to support and contribute to the ecosystem. The maximum supply of POLY is 1 billion, most of which have already been issued. Polymath has a native chain called Polymesh that is highly customisable according to the requests of the institution using it. It is on this network that identity checks are shared, compliance processes are automated and the confidentiality of the various projects is ensured at the same time.
How was it created?
The project was launched in July 2017. The following year, an ICO was held, raising $59 million. The mainnet was then launched in the summer of 2018 with the first security token solutions. Chris Housser is one of the founders, and the head office is located in Barbados.
