Satoshi Nakamoto
Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonym used by the creator of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, although it is unclear whether it is a single individual or a group of developers. In fact, the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is unknown, although there is much speculation. Many people have claimed to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto over the years, but no one has ever been able to prove the fact.
Following the publication of Bitcoin’s whitepaper in 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto briefly interacted with the community through forums and emails. Since a message in 2011 stating that they wanted to work on other projects, in fact, no one has heard from them since. Only one other post appeared, in 2014, in which they declared that they were not Dorian Nakamoto, as speculated by some.
Many consider their anonymity essential to the decentralisation of the Bitcoin project. In general, Satoshi Nakamoto’s founding work enabled the development of cryptocurrencies, as well as blockchain technology.
