Blockchain Explorer
A Blockchain Explorer or block explorer is a search engine used to view the details of blocks, transactions, smart contracts and generally all the activity that has taken place on a given blockchain.
Blockchain explorers help to make blockchains transparent and searchable by anyone, as any user can easily view the details and statuses of transactions carried out on the network.
In fact, without a blockchain explorer it would be complex and almost impossible to find the transaction or wallet address we are interested in, given the high number of transactions carried out per second, and in some cases it would be necessary to open a node in the network in order to view them.
Some of these search engines are associated with a single network (etherscan.io, for instance, is used to probe the Ethereum blockchain), while others allow the browsing of multiple blockchains (also called aggregators, such as blockchair.com).
